Projectiles Launched at an Angle/Projectile motion - A projectile motion is something projected into the air which causes the object to move in a curved path. Gravity will pull the object down which also causes the path. An example of a projectile motion/angle that relates to football would be a field goal kicker. When the ball is kicked in the air due to gravity it moves in a curved path.
Josh Scobee
Josh Scobee, number ten of the Jacksonville Jaguars, is the kicker on the team. When he kicks the football a projectile angle is formed. Depending on how hard he kicks the ball will vary the angle of the ball and how far the ball will travel.
Q1. True or false: The more force a kicker applies to the football will effect the angle of the ball's path.
A. True
Q2. What is another example of projectiles launched at an angle that relates to football?
a. Running back taking a hand off?
b. A quarter back throwing a pass
c. A player being tackled
A. b, a quarter back throwing a pass. This is because the path of the football in the air has a
curved path and an angle.
